What is dragons breath 5e?

In Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition, "Dragon's Breath" is a spell that allows the caster to imbue a creature of their choice with the ability to breathe an elemental effect of their choice (acid, cold, fire, lightning, or poison) in a 15-foot cone. The caster chooses the effect and the creature gains the ability to use it once per turn as an action for the duration of the spell (1 minute).

The spell is available to sorcerers, warlocks, and wizards at 2nd level and can be cast using 1 action. It has a range of touch and a duration of 1 minute. If the target creature is unwilling to receive the spell, they can attempt to make a Dexterity saving throw to avoid it.

The spell's damage increases with the caster's spellcasting ability and partially depends on the effect chosen. For example, a dragon's breath spell imbued with fire damage would deal 3d6 fire damage at 2nd level, increasing by 1d6 for every level of spell slot above 2nd. Additionally, creatures caught in the cone can make a Dexterity saving throw to take half damage if successful.
